Children In Crisis
Every minute of every hour, thousands of children suffer deprivation and worse on the streets of India's cities. Their young lives are blighted by hunger, fear, pain and loneliness.
even more horrific, female infanticide is still a shockingly common practice in India, and for social reasons a percentage of abandoned chidren is female.
Children without families in India have very little hope of achieving anything with their lives. Education is not open to them at any substantial level, and they can expect very little beyond a life of poverty and neglect.
You Can Help
HOPE Community Village was established to make a difference to the lives of just some of these children.
HOPE is a registered charity, building and running a number of family homes in a very special village community in Kerala in Southern India.
Each of our homes is managed by a 'Mother' - commited and caring women whose job it is to provide the children with shelter, support love and encouragement, creating a family environment and acting as support and refuge for them into young adulthood and beyond.
How We Operate
HOPE Community Village is run by appointed Trustees in the UK, with the assistance of HOPE India, our partner organisation charged with the proper disbursement of funds assocciated with the construction work on our site in Kerala, as well as the handling, control and management of the project as directed by the UK Board of Trustees.
Most Importantly, every penny of sponsorship money and funds raised goes directly to the charity - there are no administration costs or hidden fees.
Our fundraising objective is to build more houses in the Village to take more children out of poverty and give them a real opportunity to enjoy a life of love, suport and personal achievement.
How You Can Help
Sponsorship of individual children frees up more funds for development of the Village, creating more places and making more of a difference to children in crisis.
Thank you for your support
